Our story
Adrienne Permar, massage therapist and entrepreneur, is the owner and Director of Oconee School of Therapeutic Massage. Since it’s opening in 202, she has wanted to offer professional-level massage therapy in addition to student clinic massage at the school. In 2024 she teamed up with Craig Bicket, LMT, to open Oconee Therapeutic Massage Studio, located at 29 North Main St in Watkinsville (between Oconee State Bank and the Courthouse). Adrienne knew from working with Craig while he was in school that she wanted him on her team! He is talented and detail-oriented and has awesome manual skills!
Together, Adrienne and Craig dreamed of providing therapeutic massage which would truly help solve people’s pain, rather than merely relax their nervous systems. While relaxation can have its benefits, sometimes you need manual therapy directed a solving problems and changing the direction your body is going. Rather than add-ons, we allow the therapists to work with the client to find the right tool for the job. You might experience cupping for myofascial relief, use of the massage gun to promote muscle relaxation without pain, or heated bamboo to release tension in stuck areas. Therapists will use their judgment and knowledge to negotiate how you will use your time during the massage: do you want to work only on your neck? Would it me helpful to take a more global approach? Book a treatment today to experience what our therapists can do for you!

“Touching hands are not like pharmaceuticals or scalpels. They are like flashlights in a darkened room. The medicine they administer is self-awareness. And for many of our painful conditions, this is the aid that is most urgently needed.”
